Increasing the productivity of information sources necessitates the improvement of existing and development of new digital methods and algorithms for measuring signals flow processing. This situation is explained by the presence of measuring signals distortions. The causes of such distortions are transients in the sensor element, ADC quantization noise, information channel noise, etc. Thus, increasing the speed of measuring signals formation leads to a decrease in the accuracy of measurement. One of the options for solving this problem may be the use of statistical methods of measured signals pre-processing. The experiments were performed on the example of an IR distance sensor SHARP-2Y0A21. The mentioned sensor allows to change the speed of generating measuring signals. According to the results of experiments, the expediency of using sliding methods of pre-processing sequential fragments of senor signals is analyzed. In particular, the methods of calculating the sliding values are considered: the average, the medians and the first-order filters with different parameters. The use of signal pre-processing sliding methods does not change the information performance of measuring transducers.
