The Government of India through its various programmes like Digital India aims to provide digital literacy to all its citizens. Towards this goal, National Digital Literacy Mission and Digital Saksharata Abhiyan conducted various training programmes throughout the country. These training programmes are attended by millions of participants, however, the process of digital transformation is very slow. The beneficiaries were selected from households where none of the members in the age group of 14 to 60 years are IT literate. The learning of participants has increased significantly, but when it comes to the ground, many people go back to their old school of thoughts. The training was found to be useful by the majority of the participants and has helped them to improve their skills and confidence levels. This study is based on a systematic survey of 30,003 participants and other computational approaches to re-identify the priorities and to recommend changes that must be incorporated into future digital literacy training programmes
