This chapter explores the working of three different machine learning algorithms to detect which one of them would give the best performance in one of the most crucial domains of health and medicine: breast cancer. Cancer is one of the major leading causes of death globally, and according to the World Health Organization, in the year 2012, 8.2 million deaths globally were caused by cancer, and it is further assumed that the death ratio is likely to rise up to 27 million by the end of 2030. The onset of breast cancer takes place by an uncontrolled division of the cells from breast tissue, which results in the formation of a mass known as a tumor. Breast cancer is an ubiquitous issue faced by people and doctors. Many systems and models have been prepared to classify these breast cells using various methods, the most common one being analyzing either a given dataset containing necessary information or analyzing mammographic images.
