Prototype Land Classification System: Case Studi Jakarta and Surrounding Area

As the population grows, land issues become very crucial to be addressed. In Jakarta and the area of buffer is the most masive area of land use change. This is due to the flow of urbanization and population growth. The research aims to conduct land in the area of Jakarta and surrounding areas. The classification process was performed using an image from Landsat 8 satellite with band 1,2,3,4,5. The process of classification is done by several steps: Correcting satellite images with mini-max algorithm. Then do the classification with NDVI method. The next stage is to do the classification will be compared with the original image seen in google earth. Keywords: Dummy Dependend Variable, Radiometric correction, NDVI, SAVI, linear regression.
