Offloading Selection Based on Heterogeneous Utility in MEC Networks: A Coalition Formation Game-theoretic Approach

Jingzhu Zhao · 2021 IEEE 6th International Conference on Computer and Communication Systems (ICCCS) · 2021

In this paper, the offloading selection problem of heterogeneous utility in MEC networks is studied. Compared with the traditional offloading system models in MEC situation, the computing reward is considered to be discrete and heterogeneous in this paper. Based this, users select the different computing service providers to get better computing resource to reduce the time delay. The offloading service selection problem is modeled into a coalition formation game. The existence of the stable coalition partition based on Pareto order is proved. A greedy algorithm is proposed for the intra-coalition scheduling and a coalition formation based on better reply for inter-coalition formation. The simulation shows that the proposed coalition formation mechanism achieves better performance.
