Toward a modular architecture for fault-tolerance in complex systems

Throughout this paper, we implement a distributed application based on component model abstraction. We focus on the naval battle game as an example to implement modular architecture using a Fractal component model. We show that a modular architecture allows an automatic failure detection and automatic reparation. This work is classified in the context of automatic computing areas which attracts today researchers and industrialists.
