The article is devoted to the analysis of existing models of magnetic fields formed by solenoids used imagnetostrictive linear displacement transducers, tiltmeters and level gauges. Mathematical models of solenoids are considered. It is shown that not all existing mathematical models allow us to correctly and accurately calculate the magnetic fields of multilayer (thick) solenoids. The article considers mathematical models of single-layer and multi-layer solenoids, with and without taking into account the filling factor. Computational experiments were carried out to study the magnetic field of the solenoid using mathematical models of single-layer and thick solenoids with and without taking into account the filling factor. The analysis and comparison of the results of computational experiments allowed us to conclude that for modeling the magnetic fields of solenoids, it is possible to use a mathematical model of a thick solenoid taking into account the fill factor, the calculation according to which is less time-consuming compared to the exact mathematical model. The results of computational experiments also showed that the difference in the calculations of the strength of multilayer solenoids according to the exact model and the model of a thick solenoid using the fill factor differ by no more than 6%. To confirm the results of the computational experiment and theoretical studies, an experimental test was carried out, which showed a coincidence with the results obtained in computational experiments.
