Decentralized Coded Caching For Interference Networks

Navneet Garg, Mathini Sellathurai, Tharmalingam Ratnarajah · 2020

This paper considers a cache-aided interference channel (IC), where caches are present at both the transmitters and receivers. Coded caching approaches with both centralized and decentralized placement have been presented for decentralized caching, which are inspired from the approaches for D2D networks in the literature. The respective theoretical results have been obtained for the model. Centralized approach has a constant delivery delay, while in the decentralized approach, the delay increases with the number of users. In both cases, coded caching gains are illustrated with examples with respect to the uncoded approach. Moreover, the gains with the case, when interference cancellation can be utilized, are investigated.
