Blending of Cryptography and HLSB Steganography Techniques for Digital Images

Advancement in the use of internet facility has led to find how secret images can be shared confidentially from one part of the world to other. Applying only cryptographic encryption algorithm to digital images has many limitations. To make it more secure we merge steganography with cryptographic technique. In the proposed method we use RC4 stream cipher algorithm along with HLSB steganography technique. Use of Hash function in HLSB steganography technique makes the algorithm more secure. High level of similarity exists between secret image and extracted image.
