The drive for a virtualized physical world of no actual contact between objects and needless of human intervention in a densely sensory but heterogeneous wireless interconnectivity of animate and inanimate things is what has fueled the emergence of 'Internet of Things' (IoT). It has brought humans among the computing objects. However, research has shown potential security anomalies and that raises concern for patients and health practitioners in the scheme of connected humans. This study reviews innovative IoT health services, security fundamentals, and measures. Any rush by IoT industry player to meet deadlines on production and standardization could result in many more flaws. Identifying prevailing security threats and adoption of security measures from the consumer node at which point successful attack could spread to the entire network of IoT should be given topmost consideration.
