Graphics for Large Data Sets

Martin Theus · Wiley StatsRef: Statistics Reference Online · 2016

Abstract Large data sets face many challenges. While classical statistical theory often fails for larger data sets, graphics seem to be more robust against growing data set sizes. Nonetheless, graphics face certain challenges for large data sets as well; some of them can be cured successfully and some call for completely new graphical representations. Generally, interactivity can help dramatically when working with graphs of large data.
