From a Categorical Point of View: K-Nets as Limit Denotators
Guerino B. Mazzola, Moreno Andreatta · Perspectives of New Music · 2006
We present the interpretation of Klumpenhouwer Networks as a special limit construction in the framework of the topos-theoretic de-notator architecture developed in [19]. This approach at once offers (1) a vast generalization of the network concept, including networks of dodecaphonic series, for example, and (2) the formally closed re-cursive construction of iterated networks, i.e., networks of networks of networks,..., without changing the construction principle.
