Analysis of TikTok’s Success Based on Its Algorithm Mechanism

In modern society, smart phone is one of the most important things for people. A number of companies which produce software for smart phones definitely acquire huge profits. In recent years, TikTok has become one of the most popular and potential app in software market. This success is not only dependent on the trend of big data era, but also closely related to TikTok's own operation. In this paper, the author discusses three main parts, including the reason why TikTok is attractive, the approaches how TikTok can build an effectively short video recommendation, and how TikTok makes money. The reasons behind TikTok's rapid rise are analyzed and some benefits that TikTok brings to society and other businesses are revealed.
