The chapter will cover SAP Smart Business Service. What is it? The SAP Help Portal tells us that it is “…a framework for exposing strategic (key) and operational performance indicators (KPIs, OPIs) as SAP Fiori applications without the need to write any code.” As shown in Figure 3-1, it is a codeless, menu-driven user interface, so the tooling is suitable for end users. The end product of a design session with the Smart Business Service is an actionable tile showing a figure or graph or, with some more effort, multiple tiles assembled in an overview page or analytical list page. Take a second look at Figure 2-5 in Chapter 2 to see what these Fiori page types are.
