Software Defined Network (SDN) is an emerging technology that is used to design, build and manage networks effectively and efficiently. The core functionality of SDN is to take over the control, management and operation of networks in a centralized way by eliminating the problems concerned with distributed network controllers. SDN being future of network has various challenges as well. The various challenges faced by SDN are in terms of its security and interoperability. For example, the main challenge that SDN is to think and work over is the protection of the center controllers from threat and attack. The most popular attack which researchers has thought and worked over is Denial of Service (DOS) attack. Till now, Researchers have proposed and adopted various techniques to protect the controller from DOS attacks. The various techniques existing in literature for evaluating Distributed DOS (DDOS) attacks are Entropy based detection technique, sequential probability ratio test, percentage based detection technique and cumulative based detection technique. In this paper optimization algorithm is been proposed with the idea that as per the behavior of the traffic being detected by the parameters like window size, detection rate etc efficiency would be randomly distributed across the algorithm to eliminate the dispersal of the attack. Classification Technique will give better result in elimination of DDOS attacks and improvising sequential ratio test.
