Quantum Meta‐Heuristics and Applications

Meta-heuristics has various optimization models which resolve various critical problems in an optimal way. The idea of using the principle of quantum computing to solve the problems of classical computers is better because of their metaheuristic methods that achieve optimal solutions in less time. This chapter aims to give details regarding current research trends of quantum-inspired meta-heuristics and its applications for feature extraction, signal coding, speech synthesis, speech recognition, on chip intra-system quantum entangled states generator, noise resilience, photonic quantum computing, communications, polar encoding and decoding, cascade semantic fusion for image captioning. Drug design, cyber security, deep machine learning, code breaking and financial portfolio estimation are some other key applications to look for where quantum meta-heuristics will play a vital role.
