Nanoparticle Association: In Vivo Quantification of Nanoparticle Association with Immune Cell Subsets in Blood (Adv. Healthcare Mater. 9/2021)

Yih Rue Ong, Robert De Rose, Angus P. R. Johnston · Advanced Healthcare Materials · 2021

The clearance of nanoparticles in vivo is mediated by circulating white blood cells. In article number 2002160, Angus P. R. Johnston and co-workers develop an assay that quantifies the in vivo interactions of nanoparticles with different subsets of circulating white blood cells, which shows significant differences to the association observed between nanoparticles and white blood cells ex vivo. The cover image shows an artistic representation of blue nanoparticles binding to white blood cells in a capillary.
