In this paper, based on the two-dimensional lifting wavelet transform and Deflate algorithm, this paper proposes a power system waveform data compression method. This method converts the waveform data of the power system to be compressed from I-D to 2-D, and then the 2-D lifting wavelet transform is used to more effectively reduce the redundancy in the periodic waveform data, and uses the Deflate algorithm to losslessly compress the waveform data processed by the 2-D lifting wavelet transform. After performing a compression test on the data collected by the waveform measuring device on site, a compression ratio close to 4 was achieved. It is verified that the method is suitable for real-time compression of the massive waveform data continuously recorded by the power system dynamic monitoring device.
