Working in distributed teams on digital platforms and software technology nowadays occurs in a more agile manner. This chapter will focus on the motivation for examining why agile methodology doesn't work efficiently in large enterprises having distributed agile software development model compared to small or medium enterprises. The chapter aims to unearth with the help of several known statistics and see if agile or distributed agile is always a success or not and explore the cascading impact on organizations when the agile implementation is not as per the expectation. Further on, the author tries to explore all factors and characteristics associated with distributed agile software development with the help of the literature, and thereafter, it intended to find an answer about the impact of distributed agile software development on team performance which has varying impact on organizations.
