VLSI Architecture for High Tap IF Filter with Low Complexity using Multi-rate Approach

Simra Haider, Vibha Tiwari · 2021

Digital Intermediate Frequency (DIF) is the vital innovation in digit filters. The DIF handling module of shortwave base on programming radio innovation has DIF handling to enter signal, at that point total digital signal preparing in advanced zone. In the DIF preparing module, A/D and D/A are significant. DIF is shifted carrier wave as intermediate step in Tx & Rx. DIF filter is depend on filter tap, it means that the high tap in system complexity is high and low tap in system complexity is low. In this paper, used high tap and system complexity is low using multi-rate approach. Multi-rate approach depend on three step i.e. decimation, filters and interpolator. Multi-rate approach is basically working on sampling rate. DIF is simulated Xilinx 14.2i and calculate different parameters i.e. number of slice (NOS), path delay (PD), look up table (LUT) and maximum frequency (MF).
