Software testing technique is widespread acceptance in the field of Academia and industry. The main objective of software testing is to achieve a faultless system with full verification and validation. In today's era, system testing is considered the most challenging work for researchers. Therefore, automatic test case designing is presumed to be the highest priority and has played a crucial role. In this paper the authors consider the UML Activity diagram to determine the test cases. UML is a standard abstraction mechanism that helps to design a model from the problem and determines its solution. The UML Activity diagram designates behavioral representation of the system is used as an input to generate the graph. The graph is constructed by assigned nodes, and edges. Then the authors create the test cases by considering the probable test paths. The proposed hybrid firefly algorithm is useful to select the optimal test cases by considering the case study of the ATM withdrawal scheme. By using the different parameters like coverage and cost, the proposed algorithms generate the test cases.
