Cellular Realization of TSC Checkers for Error Detecting Codes

Nit Pal · 1999

Knowledge of realizing VLSI circuits in cellular form have stimulated research in the synthesis of digital circuits by using cellular networks of suitable gates. Cascade network is a special case of cellular structure in which information flows only in one direction. This paper is concerned with the cellular or cascade realization of TSC checkers for some popular error detecting codes, such as m-out-of-n code and Borden's code. TSC checkers are used to build self-checking circuits in realizing reliable computer and communication systems.
