In this chapter, the authors are going to discuss about enabling such seamless integration between legacy and modern applications. An API enablement team constitutes solution architects, tools experts, API platform leads, and API developers. API solution architects, API platform leads, and API developers work with the business and IT groups to create an API platform specific to the enterprise and subsequently create new APIs or migrate existing APIs to this new platform. One of the case studies which, the author discuss for T-Mobile. T-Mobile main challenge was how to make all IT systems work in an integral way to enable vision of being an un-carrier and being able to launch new products every few months. The success of the transformation was again proven somewhere in 2017–2018 when Apple released the iPhone 10.
