INTRODUCTION OF TRANSPORT PROCESSORS FOR FILTeR DESIGN
Anton F. Borvath · 1986
A method for designing filters using only delay elements and addition/substraction is introduced. The resultant filter structures are termed transport processors. The basic filter structures are introduced and a design methodology discussed. To demonstrate the design procedure, a lowpass filter is implemented. The resultant magnitude and phase responses are compared against the desired lowpass filter frequency response. Since transport processor design is still early in its evolution, the design procedure presented should be viewed as a preliminary technique which will be refined by further investigation.
