Hepatolithiasis is a disease with high rates of residual, recurrence and complications. Lack of detailed and comprehensive preoperative diagnosis, improper choice of operation mode and operation time are the main reasons of calculi residual and recurrence. With the clinical application of digital medical technology such as three dimensional reconstruction of hepatic and biliary, simulation operation and individualization segmentation, it may improve the accuracy of preoperative diagnosis, make rational operation scheme and accurate hepatectomy, so digital medical technology can effectively reduce the residual rate and the recurrence rate. Surgical navigation combined techniques of minimally invasive and intervention and the formation of the digital micro-invasive surgical will become another important technology in the treatment of hepatolithiasis, which is expected to further improve the level of surgical treatment of hepatolithiasis.
