Agents and Resources Management with CUB.

In this paper, we present a distributed objectoriented language based on two types of objects: c-agent and c-resource. C-agent uses centralized message passing control strategy and is indicated for modeling active entities which may change their behavior over the time. C-resource uses distributed message passing control strategy and is indicated for nzodeling passive entities wh.icli. may be used con.currently by other entities. The presence of both the two control strategies allows to obtain better results than current distributed object-oriented languages based on a single message passing control strategy. In fact, it allows a good integration between in.lieritance, synchronization and system reconfigurability, awd makes possible the use ofthe more suitable strategy for differen,i, pads of a same system. In particular, th.e pnper shows h,ow this language is suitable for modeling Distributed Artaficial Intelligence systems taking advantage of 2h.e duality between c-agents and c-resources, ana’ ofthe large set of communication primitives.
