Chaotic maps are known for its random property and its use in cryptography in particular image encryption is unavoidable. In this paper, Duffing map is used for permutation and two chaotic maps such as Henon map and logistic map are employed for diffusion, Henon map gets its initial values from secret key and logistic map gets its initial value from the former map. Two stages of diffusion are employed to get the cipher image. Simulation is done using MATLAB and further histogram, entropy, correlation coefficient, NPCR and UACI values are analysed. Results show that the proposed algorithm scores well for all these measures.
