Multi-beam Read-verifying Optical Head For Parallel Recording

Parallel data recording is a promising way to increase the data transfer rate of optical disks. Read-verifying after writing by using a multi-beam laser diode is also indispensable for high data transfer performance. This paper describes a multi-beam read-verifying optical head that uses a holographic beam splitter and a high-power visible laser diode.
