Challenges in runtime detecting and locating faults in autonomous mobile robots
Gerald Steinbauer, Franz Wotawa · 2005
In this paper we introduce the problems and chal-lenges that are related to the model-based systems application area mobile and autonomous robotics. We describe the application area using one real-world example. Furthermore, we discuss a simple model for the problem domain which supports the localization process. We identify open problems, e.g., the problem of self-repair and the required modeling, and challenges. One of the challenges is to provide models that allow to reason about other models in order to nd appropriate actions for re-covering from undesired behaviors. 1
