Application of Financial Information and Digital Transformation in Corporate Governance : A Scientometric Investigation

Financial information provides direct information basis for corporate governance and can help enterprises operate efficiently. Furthermore, under the background of financial market going digital, financial information brings us more innovative than before. Not only government can have a macro-control of the economy through building a digital information system, but also enterprises can have a comprehensive handle of the governance in many details with financial information turning digital. As an important part of corporate governance, financial information affects the operation of corporate governance during its digital transformation. However, there is no complete literature review to explore the application of financial information in corporate governance from the perspective of digital transformation. By identifying and analyzing top key authors from 175 articles and their citations, which have been collected from the Web of Science database, this study can draw a network diagram composed of key fields and related research clusters. At the same time, combined with cross-disciplinary discussions, this article provides a reliable analysis of development trends for corporate governance to make better use of financial information in the digital age.
