The Main Building of Technical Research Institute, Obayashi Corporation is well known as a super energy conservation building from 1982. The open control system, LONWORKS{reg_sign} was applied for the retrofit project of this building. In this project, the flat network architecture was applied without any protocol conversion. The multi-vender system was accomplished for the more detailed tuning of energy conservation control logic. The monitoring system was build using PC/AT computer and common software. All field data was monitored at real time. The anthem will study for the future big projects based on the know-how from this project. (author)
