Secure App Login Authorization for IoT Devices Using OAuth 2.0

Internet of things (IoT) has rapidly spring up as the most familiar and most curious discussed topic on the research field. Most of the IoT applications lead to equally wide variety of security issues. In this paper, an approach to provide secure authentication and authorization for an application of IoT network that consists of various kinds of constrained devices. This proposed approach protects IoT network from unauthorized users using OAuth 2.0 protocol. OAuth is an open standard protocol that allows users to delegate access to their data without exposing username and password with that service. OAuth is a widely deployed open standard for authorization protocol which allows services to act with resource owner concern. This approach provides an authorization mechanism to access IoT application that consists of various devices.
