Since action-based learning started to play an important role in today’s education and the assessment of such learning method is always an inevitable aspect, the Action-based Learning Assessment Method (ALAM) was developed to overcome the extensive need for financial and expert human resources. Action-based learning involves in human actions and any assessment system needs the ability of recognising these performed actions. There are several different taxonomies of human actions developed over time, but each of these taxonomies was designed for a certain research with its limitations and specifications. In this paper, we present the BEHAVE Taxonomy which is developed to facilitate the Action-based Learning Assessment Method that analyses the action-sequences of the learners according to reference solutions by experts and generates automated formative feedback.
