We present the experimental results regarding an excitable, two - section quantum dot laser exhibiting resonate and fire dynamics. Moreover, we explore the beneficial role of quantum dot assisted multi - waveband emission in enhancing the firing rate and the temporal resolution of photonic neuromorphic processors.
