Adjusting Default Timeouts or Wait Times in Cypress.json

Unlike other test automation frameworks, Cypress comes with a default command timeout of four seconds (or 4000 milliseconds). It means the tool waits for the object to appear within four seconds in order to perform the commands and there is no need to write specific wait code in the scripts for it. But, if this needs to be changed to 60 seconds, it can be altered in Cypress.json file by adding the configuration as below: { “defaultCommandTimeout”: 60000 }
