A Study on Cache Strategy of CDN Stream Media

with the rapid development of mobile Internet, streaming media has been widely used in Internet users, and more bandwidth consumption and resource occupation have brought great challenges to the efficiency of CDN server cache. To improve the cache hit rate of CDN server for streaming media resources, this paper improves the traditional LFU cache replacement algorithm and proposes a new LFU-SIZE cache replacement algorithm. According to the user's playback record and video heat, keep the most commonly used and popular files, replace the rarely used files, and combine the size of the storage space to eliminate one large file rather than multiple small files to improve the hit rate. The experimental results show that the LFU-SIZE algorithm has higher hit ratio and less response time than the traditional LRU and LFU cache replacement algorithms.
