The Ecosystem of Digital Content Governance

This article aims to explore the current complexity of the global process of online content moderation. The multiple actors with different roles and interests in content moderation form a complex network of government institutions, civil society organizations, and private companies that constitute an ecosystem. The article's focus is not only on content moderation practices and methods but also on exploring challenges and opportunities for improving governance aspects for the ecosystem of digital content moderation.
