Biocryption system is a fast-developing field, which has been paid more and more attention by researchers. To solve the security problem of the biological key, we propose a new image encryption scheme combining fingerprint key and chaos system. Firstly, a chaotic coordinate pair is generated by using a high-dimensional chaotic system. Then, through the interaction between the encryptor fingerprint image and the decryptor fingerprint image, the fingerprint coordinate pair is obtained, and the fingerprint coordinate pair is involved in the control of the image encryption process, so that the information of fingerprint image is closely related to the encryption algorithm. At the same time, we also designed a new selective scrambling method (SSM) to improve scrambling efficiency. Finally, the scrambled image is dynamically diffused to improve the security of the cipher-image. Experimental simulation and performance analysis show that the encryption algorithm we designed has high encryption efficiency and security, and can resist common attacks.
