Smart Television Edge Server Deployment Scheme Based on CDN

Cable TV resource allocation is a valuable research issue to current television industry. However, the traditional one to multiple resource allocation model cannot meet the development requirements of China's smart television. In this paper, we propose a smart television edge server deployment scheme based on Content Delivery Network (CDN), including two models: the Distance and Population based method (DAP) and the Dijkstra's shortest path based method (DSP). The DAP method is based on the effect of distance and population on edge server deployment. The DSP model is based on the specific path of the Dijkstra algorithm. The numerical experiments are illustrated through the data from Beijing, China and prove the effectiveness of our models.
