SFM Signal Parameter Estimation Based on Sinusoidal Chirplet Transform

This paper describes a sinusoidal chirplet transform (SCT) to estimate the parameters of a sinusoidal frequency modulated (SFM) signal. With the idea of parametric time-frequency (TF) analysis, the TF concentration could be greatly improved. Moreover, the iteration process provides more accurate and refined parameter estimation results. Numerical evaluation shows the SCT can provide a better TF concentration and achieve balance between estimation accuracy and computational complexity.
