In some complex industrial applications, several fluids separated by walls may thermally interact. It is typically, etc. SYRTHES solves the conduction and the radiation aspects, but also manages the coupling with one or several fluid domains. The flow data are calculated and stored at the interface of each fluid code, then gathered and interpolated at the solid interface where they are used as boundary conditions. Then, after solving the conduction problem, SYRTHES provides back updated temperature and dispatches the information towards the proper fluid code. PVM (Parallel Virtual Machine) and CALCIUM allow the network of computers to appear as a single computer resources and allow computer tasks to communicate with each other. A simplified heat exchanger, where two N3S code handle respectively a hot laminar air flow and a cold turbulent water flow in two lateral channels, nine independent ESTET codes deal with natural convection flows occurring in the inner cavities filled with air. SYRTHES acting as the master code handles the conduction part and the thermal coupling arising between the eleven fluid domains. (authors)
