In this chapter I will familiarize the reader with potential vulnera- bilities of biometric systems and how malicious parties may exploit them. I also will introduce definitions and key thoughts regarding vulnerability and biometric security. Some duplication of material is to be expected between sections, so that the chapter may serve adequately as a reference.
