Skyline Computation on Multicore Architectures: A Survey

The increase of massive collected data from different electronic systems used worldwide for various applications and the development of modern information-technology that produce an enormous quantity of data demonstrate the requirement to develop powerful techniques to handle and process this data. Based on this, skyline queries proposed to make the best decision based on the user's preferences. In recent years skyline queries have developed in terms of both sequential and parallel implementations, but there are very few studies dealing with implementations on multicore processors. In this paper, we review different skyline queries that have developed for multicore architecture on static and dynamic datasets and highlight the utilization of a different technique.
