A Cognitive V2V Communication System Model Using Active User Cooperation in 3D-GBSM Channel

The scarcity of spectrum for Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication (V2V) can be reduced by the introduction of cognitive radio (CR) concept into it. In underlay method, the CR user's transmission power is restricted to reduce interference caused by it to the Primary user, but then the rate achievable by the V2V system is of concern. The bit-error performance of V2V system can be improved by associating cooperation among the users. This paper aims to provide two possible transmission schemes to a V2V system that uses active-user cooperation, and to study its performance when the cognitive V2V user utilizes the spectrum of a standard mobile communication user (Primary User).
