Security of modern game-based educational services highly depends on applied identification and authentication technologies. Since main issue for developers of such systems is user suitability (ergonomics of software), this fact has repeatedly led to problems with user identification/authentication. Neglect of additional information protection mechanisms, such as two-factor authentication or preliminary checks, and insufficient control over the correctness of embedding these mechanisms in educational services is dangerous not only for the educational services themselves, but also for the university information systems, on which they are deployed. The article describes mechanisms for enhancing the reliability of game-based educational service and focuses on usage of liveness detection method for voice identification/user authentication. Examples of implementation for educational systems, which do not require additional equipment, are presented. Reliability of proposed liveness detection mechanism was tested, including some of identified ways to bypass voice identification/authentication technologies. This research could be basis both for development of new robustness game-based educational services and for improvement of current information protection mechanisms.
