Due to the large proportion of data generated daily, an additional storage capacity is required for our mobile devices. Currently, storage space management is done by frequent data transfers to devices such as Personal computers/laptops, tablets, etc or using the cloud storage services. Existing storage management technologies such as IPFS and FileCoin have various limitations such as their restrictions of stationary nodes and blockchain based implementation which requires high processing power. Cloud storage services are available for mobile devices but they require uninterrupted internet connection and consume a lot of internet bandwidth. Moreover, cloud service providers have complete censorship over user's data and being a centralized system, it is always prone to threats of data theft. We have implemented a distributed storage system which utilizes redundant storage space in user's mobile devices with high internal memory storage such as 128GB and 256GB. This system uses existing space in such mobile devices and eliminates the vulnerabilities of a centralized storage system and facilitates offline transfer of data through Wi-Fi technology using P2P mesh networks. Rewards are given to users who sponsor their storage space for storing of data.
