Computational Efficiency of Interpolated Band-Stop Filters

A structure of an interpolated band-stop FIR filter is proposed. Relations of computational efficiency, increase of many registers, optimal interpolation coefficient, and maximum computational efficiency coefficient depending on the width of stop and transition bands are obtained. Limitations affecting the realizability of the structure proposed under certain parameters of the designed filter are indicated.
