Paper was invented in China in the year 105 A. D, . and introduced into every country of the world ;Since then it has been much improved-thus comes out the up-to-date paper.Ancient papers now found in bulk were made around the year 350 A. D., they were used as the written copies which are kept in Tonko Cave.In our country, they were used for copying sutras from Nara Dynasty to Heian Dynasty, and still exist in Sho Soin or in Museum at Nara.By these materials our study on the ancient paper can he carried out.Most of them are linen-paper, some are Kozo-paper.Full details shall be reserved for another occasion.
