An Iris Recognition System Implementation with Error Correction Capability by Reusing WiFi Standard LDPC Codes

The paper proposes a method to reuse IEEE 802.11n LDPC codes onto an iris recognition system based on an embedded device. LDPC codes are provided with the capability of alleviating variability and noise for the purpose of the enhancement of the system. All iris images come from CASIA-IrisV4 database for the validation of the proposed system, which is improved by LDPC codes with proven experimental results.
