A multi-core processor trend becomes common in control-oriented embedded systems such as in-vehicle systems in cyber-physical systems. Multi-cores in control systems allows to achieve better control performance. However, the existing control design support systems do not support delays in control software implementation that need in the multi-core design as well as in the single-core design. Another fundamental problem is that CPU simulators that are often used in the control design phase are slow. In this paper, we present a simulation environment for an embedded control system with a multi-core processor based on a faster CPU simulation providing elapsed time estimation of the control software. We demonstrate the results of our simulation against a benchmark program and show the effectiveness of our environment applied to an actual control system.
